Pretty sure that just about any anime fan and/or otaku out there knows about Bleach. If not, then now would be a good time to do a little research about it. I didn’t know about the series until it started airing on Adult Swim and have to say I instantly liked it. But that’s not to say that it doesn’t have its flaws, prime example being the constant filler arcs. But that is not hard to understand considering that the manga is still unfolding in Japan, and with the “source” material isn’t available then you have to do something. And that usually means filler arcs.
Since the first episode I was interested in Rukia, mainly because she didn’t seem like she could hold her on own in what is obviously a shōnen series. And even though she was without her powers quite a bit, it was certainly nice to see her back in action in time to fight the Arrancers. Which brings us to the point of this post! Rukia’s Zanpakutō – Sode no Shirayuki (translation ‘sleeve’s white snow’) which if the name doesn’t give you an idea is an ice attribute Zanpakutō – similar to Hitsugaya’s Hyōrinmaru. You can learn more about Rukia’s abilities here.
See Rukia in action in the following video and as well as Sode no Shirayuki’s three dances in action.
Impressed? Rukia certainly has the moves. May not be as powerful as Ichigo or Byakuya but she is certainly no weakling. I could only imagine what her Bankai would be like if she were to ever get to that level.
Are you a Bleach fan? What do you like…or don’t like about Bleach? And who would be your favorite character(s)?
